Protesting war is like protesting forest fires. It is an empty gesture. What we ought to be doing is focus on preventing ‘war’ in the same way we approach preventing forest fires. After all, I do not know anybody who is ‘for’ war any more we than we are ‘for’ forest fires. The protest against war suggests there is a group somewhere against peace? Quite ridiculous really! Everything we have we receive. From our spiritual gifts to physical attributes, there is nothing that is not given. It also includes the fact that we are not equally sensitive to the same things. Meaning, you might be more sensitive to light or cold, while others are less sensitive. Yet we are neither superior or inferior… just different. The important thing to recognize is this diversity is God ordained. So celebrate both yourselves and others, since when God made you sensitive He also withheld sensitivity.Continue Reading
The Real Problem of ‘Long Church’!
If you read the Bible you wont ever hear Jesus scolding the disciples for praying too much. On the other hand they did on occasion lack endurance. Their ability to keep up with Jesus was in question, particularly when it came to His spiritual pace. Could it be that is our problem when we think church is too long?
If God is humbling you… rejoice!
God resists the proud and gives grace to the humble. If God is humbling you it’s because He aims to give you grace. It has nothing to do with rejection or exclusion. It is quite the opposite rather as His plan for you is for good. In the end it has everything to do with the amount He can use you.Continue Reading
