In preparation for my upcoming book release…
This is my first plug for my upcoming book entitled ‘Interpreting the Prophetic’. It is a deeply practical approach to prophetic ministry. Designed to clarify how to deal with the promises we receive, it will help you get the most out of what God has spoken to you. This highlighted chapter touches a theme already explored in our Watchman Chronicle, but is a simple look at the heart of God.
Here is one short but succinct paragraph:
“Interpreting prophetic words can be a tricky business. Often we approach prophetic words in a fatalistic way with a punitive God in mind. However, prophetic words sometimes only point to events and possibilities without ever uncovering God’s purpose or will.
Imagine if Joseph had taken this approach concerning Pharaoh’s dreams of the skinny and fat cows. Had the dreams of Pharaoh been viewed as the intention of God, Egypt would have been left to destruction. Instead, Joseph took it not as the end of the world, but as an opportunity to change the world.”
We need to realize the heart of God is to save and deliver. The Prophetic Ministry needs to be viewed as redemptive. While there will always be challenging moments for us, especially when God is asking us to look in the mirror, we need to be assured the intent is for good. Joseph understood this.
In addition, there continues to be challenges in addition to misuses of the prophetic. Some come out of immaturity and others out of ignorance. Regardless, we simply need to grow in this area. However, even without malice, there are still many opportunities to stumble. This book will help us as individuals work toward fixing some of our glitches.
Hopefully this wets your taste buds.
